We are Árni and Íris, owners and guides at Tindaborg. We live in Svínafell and have the highest mountain in Iceland, Öræfajökull, in our back yard. We would love to show you around!
We specialize in tailor made private trips with small groups. We do everything from short glacier hikes to technical mountaineering and the surroundings in Öræfi offer almost anything you could imagine.
Iceland offers some excellent areas to explore wild nature at it's very best. You can sense the power in the ever changing weather, the rugged mountains and mighty glaciers. We believe it's vital everyone gets a chance to build a connection to nature and want to give you that chance by hiking and climbing on the mountains and glaciers.
We have over 15 years of guiding experience between us, always focusing on the glaciers and mountains. We own a nice jeep that we use on our tours to bring us closer to the true wilderness.
